Summer Closing – Bulleit Bourbon

I'm sorry, I just had to buy cigarettes, thats why it took me so long to come up with a new post....Just kidding, I don't smoke. I actually went to Atlanta, Paris and Harleem (a very nice city close to Amsterdam) so I work on a little after-vacation-post. But first, since autumn is arriving, I want to show you a nice summer closing Drink. Refreshing but cosy. This Drink belongs to the family of good Whisky Drinks like the Whisky Sour, the Whisky Smash or even the Mint Julep. But what makes it special is a little shot of fresh pink grapefruit juice. The actual Recipe is made with a Japanese Whisky called Nikka and is written in an awesome cocktail book called Experimental Cocktail Club. I couldn't get my hands on one of these Whiskys so far, so I had to choose another nice and smooth one. But the next time I see this (beautiful) bottle of Nikka Whisky I'll definitely try this drink again! Enjoy!

5 cl Bulleit Bourbon Whisky

1.5 cl Freshly squeezed lemon juice

1.5 cl Simple sirup

1.5 cl Simple sirup

2 Dashes of Grapefruit bitters

Ice

Crushed

* * *

Garnish

Lemonpeel

Campari

* * *

Glas

Tumbler

* * *

Place all the ingrediences in a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake and strain into a tumbler filled with crushed Ice. garnish with lemon peel and top of the drink with Campari.
